Every transaction is read, then opening balance plus credits minus debits is checked against the statement's closing balance.

Why "verified" matters: most converters extract a table and leave it to you to spot a missed row or a misread number. Bank2XL adds the one check that catches those: it confirms the transactions add up to the closing balance the bank printed, and tells you plainly when they do not.

- Is it really free?
- Yes. During the beta you can convert up to 3 statements a day here in the browser, with no signup. Need more? The Chrome extension raises the limit to 10 a day.
- How accurate is it?
- Accuracy depends on how cleanly the statement is laid out. Rather than promise a number, Bank2XL shows you the balance check on every file, so you know when the output ties out and when to look closer. The honest detail is on the accuracy page.
- What happens to my file?
- By default it is kept for 24 hours to debug accuracy issues, then deleted automatically. Tick the opt-out box above to process it in memory only. Full detail on the data retention page.
